Merlonero
Pugnitello is an ancient red grape vineyard from Tuscany (whose name comes from the shape of its grape, which recalls a small fist). It has also been suggested that this name could be a change of "Pignatello", a Sicilian vineyard, synonym of "Perricone": as a result, tests have proved that "Pugnitello" and "Perricone" are two different genetic entities.
